German-language Ukraine news outlets are running a warning that the country could be left without electricity imports from Europe unless it urgently reforms its energy price caps. The argument is that current price ceilings on energy prevent Ukraine from paying market rates, putting European electricity supplies at risk and threatening the power grid during wartime shortages.
Why now: Concerns over Ukraine's energy security and potential electricity shortages are driving debate about its price cap policy.
