Dodgers drop slumping Shohei Ohtani in lineup

Original: ohtani

Shohei Ohtani's bat has gone cold, but the Los Angeles Dodgers keep winning anyway. With the team facing Chris Sale in a pivotal Game 3, manager Dave Roberts moved Ohtani down to fifth in the batting order, a striking demotion for the game's biggest star. Commentators note the Dodgers' depth has masked his slump so far, but attention is fixed on whether Ohtani can break out as the series tightens.

Why now: The Dodgers made the unusual move of dropping their superstar to fifth in the lineup during a key playoff game.
