Wild Rio Negro documentary explores jaguar territory
Original: WILD RIO NEGRO | The Hunter Where the Jaguar Feels Safest | Wildlife Documentary
A wildlife documentary titled 'Wild Rio Negro' follows the Amazon's Rio Negro region, portraying a hunter in whose territory jaguars live undisturbed. The film suggests that in this stretch of rainforest, the jaguar faces less danger from humans than elsewhere in its range. Wildlife audiences are engaging with its look at coexistence between local hunters and big cats in Brazil's Amazon basin.
Why now: Viewers are drawn to rare footage of jaguars thriving in a remote Amazon region and the unusual idea of a hunter as their protector.
