Original: 'Nintendo Switch Sports Resort' hands-on preview: The 'Wii Sports' formula still works

Mashable has published a hands-on preview of Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, concluding that the familiar Wii Sports formula of accessible motion-controlled minigames still works. The preview follows Nintendo's announcement of the resort-themed follow-up to its casual sports title, and early impressions suggest the simple pick-up-and-play appeal that made Wii Sports a cultural phenomenon is being successfully carried over to the Switch platform ahead of release.

Why now: Nintendo's upcoming Switch Sports Resort sequel is drawing attention as previews emerge ahead of launch.
