Trump's rambling remark about Iran nuking US cities draws scrutiny
Original: Trump’s comment about Iran nuking Los Angeles and San Diego was incoherent, not malicious
Donald Trump suggested Iran could drop a nuclear weapon on Los Angeles and San Diego, sparking debate about the remark. Commentators, including CNN analysis, argue the comment was confused and rambling rather than a deliberate threat, but it has still raised questions about his grip on nuclear policy and his rhetoric toward Iran.
Why now: A former president speculating about a nuclear strike on American cities is alarming and invites constant coverage.
