Yamamoto strikes out 10 in first postseason start since World Series heroics
Original: Yamamoto (10 K's) dazzles in 1st postseason appearance since WS G7 heroics
Yoshinobu Yamamoto delivered a dominant playoff outing, recording 10 strikeouts in his first postseason appearance since his Game 7 heroics in last year's World Series. The right-hander looked sharp, overpowering opposing hitters and giving his team a strong start as it chases another deep October run. Fans and commentators highlighted the performance as proof the ace has picked up right where he left off.
Why now: It is his first postseason game since his memorable Game 7 World Series performance, so fans are watching how he follows it up.
