Gazan describes warplanes and airstrikes on October 7
Original: Good morning, although it doesn’t feel like a good morning. Today, on October 7, the atmosphere is filled with warplanes
A woman in Gaza describes a grim morning on October 7, saying the area is filled with warplanes, airstrikes, tanks and machine-gun fire, and asking people to keep residents in their prayers. She also shares a fundraising link, apparently for aid. The date carries heavy symbolism as the anniversary of the Hamas-led attack that triggered the ongoing war.
Why now: October 7 marks the anniversary of the 2023 attack and the war in Gaza continues, with fighting reportedly intensifying.
