Original: Bednarek backs India's 2036 Games bid after embracing country's culture
American sprinter Kenny Bednarek has voiced support for India's bid to host the 2036 Olympic Games, saying he has embraced the country's culture. His endorsement adds a high-profile athlete's voice to India's campaign to bring the Olympics to the country for the first time, as the International Olympic Committee weighs future host cities.
Why now: India is actively lobbying to host the 2036 Olympics and any athlete endorsement draws attention to the bid.
