Original: Iran summons French ambassador over policing of school protests https:// lemmy.ml/post/53683459
Iran has summoned the French ambassador to Tehran to protest the way French police handled demonstrations linked to schools. The move signals growing diplomatic friction between the two countries, with Iranian officials objecting to the policing of protests connected to school events in France. Few further details have been reported so far about the demonstrations or any French response.
Why now: It reflects rising diplomatic tension between Iran and France at a time when protest-related policing is under scrutiny.
