Kassa leaves TV but continues online amid Ring protest

Original: amber kortzorg

Dutch consumer programme Kassa will disappear definitively from television but continue online, with presenter Amber Kortzorg among those involved. The news has sparked pushback in the media world: at the Gouden Televizier-Ring ceremony, viewers are being urged to vote for Kassa as a form of protest against its removal from TV, with supporters saying they are glad the programme can survive at all.

Why now: The announcement that a long-running public broadcaster programme is being dropped from TV has drawn public protest around the Televizier-Ring vote.
