A Milwaukee couple say they were targeted in 55 swatting incidents over two years after posting a comment about comedian Norm Macdonald, according to a CBC Radio interview. The false emergency reports repeatedly brought police to their home, and the couple are speaking out to raise awareness of swatting and push for stronger action against perpetrators.
Why now: The extreme scale and absurd origin of the harassment campaign struck people as both alarming and bizarre.
