Okinawa baseball coach led drills during corporal punishment suspension
Original: エナジックスポーツ高等学院
A coach of the Energetic Sports Academy baseball club in Okinawa continued instructing players while under suspension for corporal punishment, according to relatives and people connected to the school. Sources told 47NEWS that staff were too afraid to point out the violation, with one saying 'no one could raise it out of fear.' The incident has raised questions about oversight at the academy.
Why now: Reports that a coach defied a disciplinary suspension and that staff stayed silent have sparked concern about the school's culture.
