A session replay of La Cueva, a Mexican bulletin board system from 1993, has been shared online by programmer Oscar Toledo Gutiérrez via his site nanochess.org. The material offers a window into early Mexican dial-up computing culture, and retrocomputing enthusiasts are discussing what pre-web online communities looked like in 1990s Mexico.
Why now: Retrocomputing fans are drawn to rare firsthand recreations of early non-US online communities.
