Mike Flanagan Reimagines 'Carrie' for a New Generation

Original: carrie tv show

Filmmaker Mike Flanagan is developing a new television adaptation of Stephen King's 'Carrie', updating the horror classic for today's teenagers. The reimagining is set to address modern pressures young people face, including cyberbullying and active shooter drills, rather than the original's 1970s high school setting. King's story of a bullied girl with telekinetic powers remains one of his most adapted works, and fans are weighing in on whether the modernized take can capture the original's impact.
