Original: #Daily_Brief: #Sudan army chief rejects talks with #RSF, vows to pursue military victory
Sudan's army chief has rejected negotiations with the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, saying the military will press on until it wins the war outright. The statement rules out peace talks with the rival force, deepening a conflict that has devastated the country and displaced millions. Observers say the hardline stance signals the two sides remain far from any political settlement.
Why now: The conflict between Sudan's army and the RSF remains a major ongoing crisis, and any public rejection of peace talks draws attention.
