The Philadelphia Phillies are searching for a new manager, and sources indicate Don Mattingly could become their top option after Alex Cora again declined interest in the job. Cora, who has repeatedly passed on the Phillies' overtures, remains with his current situation, leaving Philadelphia weighing a move for the former Dodgers and Marlins skipper Mattingly.
Why now: The Phillies' managerial vacancy is unresolved and Cora's reported rejection narrows the field to Mattingly.
