A user reports buying Felicity, described as possibly the best local music player for Android, for €8.56. Instead of Google Play, the app was downloaded through F-Droid, the free and open-source Android repository, with payment handled via Gumroad. The purchase is being shared as an example of supporting indie developers while avoiding Google's store, fitting into broader de-Google and FOSS conversations among Android users.

Why now: Interest in de-Googling Android and paying developers directly through FOSS channels like F-Droid.
