Yggstore offers encrypted sharded storage over Yggdrasil network

Original: Sharded, encrypted storage between friends over Yggdrasil https://github.com/peterretief/yggstore # HackerNews # Tech #

A developer has released Yggstore, an open-source tool providing sharded, encrypted storage shared between trusted friends over the Yggdrasil network. The project, hosted on GitHub, lets users distribute encrypted data fragments across peers rather than relying on centralised cloud services. Early reactions are coming from the open-source and privacy-focused tech community.

Why now: Interest in decentralised, privacy-respecting alternatives to cloud storage is high among developers right now.
