Google has introduced a new device category called Googlebooks. Smartphones from Samsung, the world's largest Android phone maker, are not yet supported by the category, leaving the biggest Android manufacturer out at launch. German tech coverage notes the omission and is watching whether Samsung devices will be added later.
Why now: The exclusion of Samsung, the largest Android phone maker, from a newly launched Google device category is surprising to tech observers.
