Food Aid Enrollment Tanks After SNAP Rule Changes
Enrollment in SNAP food assistance has fallen sharply following recent changes to the program's rules, according to KFF Health News. The report links the decline directly to new requirements and eligibility restrictions, raising concerns that fewer eligible households are receiving food aid. The scale of the drop and its regional breakdown remain unspecified in the available reporting.
Why now: New SNAP rule changes have coincided with a steep drop in food aid enrollment, prompting concern about families losing access to assistance.
