Chess called one of the least expressive sports to watch
Original: "Chess might be one of the least expressive sports I have ever watched"
A claim is circulating that chess is among the least expressive sports to watch, arguing that the game offers spectators little visible emotion or drama compared with physical competition. The remark has been picked up by chess media, where it sits awkwardly given the sport's recent surge in streaming audiences and high-profile rivalries.
Why now: The provocative dismissal of chess as a spectator sport invites pushback from its large and vocal fanbase.
