Passerby catches five-year-old falling from Berlin window
Original: neukölln
A five-year-old child fell from a third-floor window in Berlin's Neukölln district and was caught by a passerby before hitting the ground. Stern reported the incident, which has drawn attention in Germany as a story of quick reflexes and luck. Details about the child's condition and how the fall happened have not been widely reported yet.
Why now: A dramatic rescue in which an ordinary bystander saved a child from a potentially fatal fall is naturally striking news.
