Unsanctioned Banksy exhibition returns to Atlanta
Original: ‘Art of Banksy: Without Limits,’ and without his permission, back in Atlanta
'Art of Banksy: Without Limits,' a touring exhibition of works attributed to the anonymous street artist Banksy, has returned to Atlanta. The show is not authorised by the artist, who has never sanctioned such exhibitions, and it typically features reproductions, prints and attributed pieces rather than his own involvement. Banksy disowned a previous touring show of this kind, calling it unauthorised. The exhibition's stop in the city is drawing attention both from fans and from critics of commercial shows using his name.
Why now: The exhibition's return to Atlanta and its lack of the artist's permission make it a talking point among art and Banksy followers.
