Google is reportedly extending the Pixel 11's Call for Me feature, which uses Gemini to answer calls on the user's behalf, beyond businesses to personal contacts — meaning the assistant could take calls from friends and family members. The report has sparked discussion about how comfortable people are letting AI talk to their loved ones, with some arguing the capability is a genuine feature rather than exaggerated promotion.

Why now: Reports that Gemini AI may soon answer calls from friends and family on Pixel 11 phones are raising both interest and concerns about AI handling personal communication.
