Neukölln's hawk puts on a rare show
Original: Hatte mal wieder Glück, der Neuköllner Habicht hat sich in all seiner Schönheit präsentiert # neukolln # birds # birding
A hawk living in Berlin's Neukölln district has been spotted and photographed showing itself in full view. The observer describes getting lucky with the sighting and the bird presenting itself 'in all its beauty'. Urban wildlife, and hawks in particular, draw attention in German cities where these predators nest in parks and cemeteries, and birders regularly share sightings and photographs with local nature communities.
Why now: Birdwatchers and locals enjoy following the resident Neukölln hawk and its rare close appearances
