NFC East in chaos: quarterbacks, trades and a surprise retirement
Original: NFC East roundtable: QB chaos, trades and a shock retirement. Wait, it's only Week 5?! https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/
NFL writers are taking stock of a wild start to the NFC East season, with quarterback uncertainty gripping the New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders barely a month into the campaign. A writers' roundtable covers quarterback questions, trade talk and a shock retirement, with Joey Porter Jr. also among the names raised. The tone is one of disbelief that so much has happened by only Week 5.
Why now: Unusually dramatic developments across all four NFC East teams so early in the NFL season have surprised fans and prompted discussion.
