Annual self-hosting user survey opens with new AI section
Original: Officially kicked off my annual self-host user survey this morning, which consists of 45 questions across several topics
The 2026 self-hosting user survey is now open, featuring 45 questions across several topics, including a newly added section on AI. Last year's edition drew more than 4,000 responses, and this year's goal is to reach 5,000 participants. The survey tracks how people run their own server software and home labs.
Why now: The self-hosting community follows this annual survey closely as a snapshot of trends, and the new AI questions give it fresh relevance.
