Original: puma münchen
Authorities in Upper Bavaria have warned residents not to approach a big cat, reportedly a puma, after it was sighted in the region south-east of Munich. The district office issued a public alert telling people to keep their distance while officials track the animal. Local media including Rosenheim24 are covering the warning as sightings draw attention across Bavaria.
Why now: A possibly escaped or wild big cat roaming near populated areas in Bavaria is a rare public safety concern.
