Girl pleads with world leaders to save her country from climate change
Original: Girl pleads for world leaders to save her country from climate change
A young girl has made an emotional appeal to world leaders, urging them to take action to save her country from the effects of climate change. The plea has drawn attention to the plight of countries and communities bearing the brunt of a crisis they did little to cause, and to demands that those with the most power act on it.
Why now: Ongoing global concern over climate change and pressure on leaders to respond keeps appeals like this in the spotlight.
