Original: detention of craig and lindsay foreman
Craig and Lindsay Foreman, a British couple detained in Iran, have received a visit from a British ambassador at Tehran's Evin prison after months without contact. The meeting is the first confirmed confirmation of their wellbeing since their detention. The couple, reportedly detained while travelling through Iran, remain held, and the Foreign Office is pressing for consular access and their release.
Why now: News that the couple have been located and contacted after months of silence has renewed attention on their detention in Iran.
