Original: aircraft pilot

Israeli officials told Reuters the flydubai co-pilot involved in a reported murder-suicide mission planned the attack before joining the airline, and the Telegraph reports he trained to fly in Britain. Separately, fatal crashes involving pilots were reported in Fort Worth, at Paine Field in Washington state, and an ultralight crash injured a pilot in eastern Iowa. Egypt offered condolences to Nigeria over a military plane crash.
