Pokémon Center has introduced an invite-only queue for the Ascended Heroes Elite Trainer Box, a product tied to the popular Mega Evolution line that has repeatedly sold out. The move is aimed at curbing scalpers and bots that buy up stock, giving invited fans a direct chance to purchase the box during restocks.
Why now: Scalping and instant sellouts of popular Pokémon trading card products have frustrated collectors, so a new anti-scalper sales system draws wide attention.
