German email provider GMX has introduced new combination tariffs that bundle mobile phone plans with cloud storage. The packages, announced via tech blog Caschys Blog based in Bremerhaven, are aimed at customers who want mobile service and online storage from a single provider. The move follows a wider trend of German internet brands merging connectivity and cloud offerings to compete with larger mobile operators.

Why now: German consumers are watching for cheaper all-in-one mobile and cloud deals from familiar internet brands.
