Al Jazeera opinion piece argues Zionism is racism
Original: Yes, Zionism is racism https://www. aljazeera.com/opinions/2026/10 /7/yes-zionism-is-racism?traffic_source=rss And there
A new opinion article published by Al Jazeera on 7 October argues that describing Zionism as racism is neither radical nor fringe, but 'a fact of history'. The piece is being shared and debated on social media, reviving a long-running dispute over the framing, which echoes the contested 1975 UN resolution equating Zionism with racism, repealed in 1991.
Why now: The article's provocative thesis, published on the anniversary of the October 7 attacks, is sparking heated debate over Israel and the definition of Zionism.
