Russian forces struck Pryluky in Chernihiv Oblast with six missiles on the morning of 7 October. One missile hit a five-storey apartment building, destroying two floors. Those killed included families with children and a police veteran. Rescuers worked at the site as Ukrainian officials condemned the attack on a city far from the front line.
