Trump Stops Using Qatari-Gifted Boeing 747 Jet
Original: boeing 747
President Trump has stopped using the luxurious Boeing 747 he solicited from Qatar, according to HuffPost. The aircraft, offered as a gift to serve as a temporary Air Force One, had drawn criticism over security concerns and the propriety of accepting a foreign state's plane. Observers note the jet was described as defenseless, lacking the protective systems fitted to the official presidential aircraft.
Why now: The reported halt in use of a foreign-gifted presidential jet raises fresh questions about its security and the ethics of accepting it.
