SpaceX makes third attempt to launch recon satellites from California
Original: Watch SpaceX make 3rd attempt to launch recon satellites in California
SpaceX is making a third attempt to launch reconnaissance satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, with the launch being carried live from the site. Previous attempts were presumably scrubbed due to weather or technical issues. Observers are watching to see whether the Falcon 9 mission finally gets off the ground, with the classified payload for reconnaissance purposes drawing particular attention.
Why now: A high-profile launch attempt after two prior scrubs naturally draws wide attention.
