A new attack has set the Samara linear fuel depot ablaze, with the facility engulfed in a large-scale fire. Ukraine's General Staff had earlier reported on the consequences of an October 2 strike on the same depot, saying it destroyed 11 tanks of 20,000 cubic meters each, three tanks of 50,000 cubic meters, and a section of pipelines. The fresh hit suggests the site was struck again before repairs could restore its capacity.
Why now: The depot was hit again shortly after Ukraine's General Staff publicized the damage from the previous October 2 strike, making the timing notable.
