Election dashboard tracks every US race using open social web data

Original: "Every federal and gubernatorial race, by name and by state, read from what people are actually saying" - all powered by

A developer has built an election-night dashboard that lists every federal and gubernatorial race in the United States, by name and by state, based on what people are actually saying on open social networks. The project, described by creator Ben Werdmuller, is presented as a demonstration of the power of open algorithms and decentralized platforms as alternatives to closed feeds during major news events.

Why now: It showcases open, decentralized social web technology during US election night, when attention on election coverage peaks.
