Free Open-Source Alternatives to Photoshop and Premiere Rebuilt With AI
Original: Someone Rebuilt Free, Open-Source Versions of Photoshop, Premiere, and Lightroom Using AI
A project has recreated free, open-source versions of Adobe's most popular creative tools — Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Lightroom — using AI, according to PetaPixel. The effort targets professional-grade photo and video editing without subscription costs, tapping into growing frustration with Adobe's pricing and licensing terms. Details on who built the tools and how they perform remain limited so far.
Why now: Users are increasingly interested in free alternatives to Adobe's subscription-heavy creative software.
