Israel's 'terrorist' list of Gaza journalists challenged
Original: Debunking Israel’s latest list of ‘terrorist’ journalists in Gaza
Israel has published a list designating several Gaza-based journalists as terrorists, prompting pushback from press freedom advocates and regional media. +972 Magazine has published a detailed rebuttal examining the evidence behind the designations, arguing the claims against the named reporters do not hold up. Critics say the list is an attempt to delegitimise independent coverage of the war in Gaza, while Israel defends the designations as security-based.
Why now: Press freedom groups and media outlets are actively contesting Israel's designations amid ongoing conflict in Gaza.
