Encore casino patrons sympathize with striking workers but keep gambling
Original: Encore casino patrons feel bad for striking workers. But some still want to gamble.
Workers at Encore Boston Harbor are on strike, and many casino patrons say they sympathize with the employees' labor action. Still, some visitors continue gambling at the property while the dispute runs on, a tension between supporting workers and personal entertainment that local coverage has highlighted as the walkout continues.
Why now: The ongoing strike at the casino is drawing attention to how customers balance sympathy for workers with their own plans to gamble.
