Virginia's 11th District candidates face off in Q&A
Original: 11th District Q&A: Dianne Blais, Arthur Purves, James Walkinshaw
Dianne Blais, Arthur Purves and James Walkinshaw, candidates for Virginia's 11th Congressional District, took part in a question-and-answer forum laying out their positions ahead of the election. Walkinshaw, a Fairfax County supervisor and Democratic nominee, is widely seen as the frontrunner, with Republican Purves and independent-minded challengers pressing their cases on local issues. The exchange gives voters in the Northern Virginia district a direct comparison of the contenders.
Why now: Voters in Northern Virginia are weighing candidates ahead of the special election for the congressional seat.
