Michele Tafoya campaign draws fresh scrutiny

Original: michele tafoya

Former sportscaster Michele Tafoya, running for office in Minnesota, is drawing attention after saying she is 'pro-choice' despite a record critics say says otherwise. Senator John Thune campaigned alongside her while Democrats, including Peggy Flanagan, attacked on costs tied to the war. Reports note Republicans see an opening for Tafoya, though national party money is going elsewhere.

Why now: Her shifting stance on abortion and mixed party support are fueling coverage of her campaign.
