Big Read Book Club to Focus on Youth Substance Use
The Big Read Book Club is turning its next discussion to youth substance use, using a shared book as a way to open conversation about a growing community concern. Organisers hope the book club format will give young people, parents and educators a neutral space to talk about drug and alcohol pressures facing teenagers.
Why now: Youth substance use is a pressing local concern and community reading programmes are being used to spark public discussion.
