Musk says Alberta, Saskatchewan and Quebec should separate

Original: elon musk québec

Elon Musk has said that Alberta, Saskatchewan and Quebec should separate from Canada, according to Canada's National Observer. The remarks from the billionaire, who has become increasingly vocal about international politics, are drawing attention north of the border, where they touch on long-standing sovereignty debates in Quebec and western Canadian frustration with federal policy.

Why now: A high-profile figure publicly endorsing the breakup of Canada is provocative and reignites separatist debates.
