Jon Rahm is leaving LIV Golf, according to reporting by The Athletic and the New York Times, a move described as a significant blow to the future of the financially troubled, bankrupt Saudi-backed circuit. Rahm was one of LIV's marquee signings after joining from the PGA Tour on a lucrative deal in late 2023, and his departure raises fresh questions about the tour's funding and survival.
Why now: Rahm's exit from a struggling rival tour signals a major shift in the ongoing battle between golf's competing circuits.
