Artist laughs at failing to recreate a one-off lighting effect
Original: I drew this once and preceded to forget how to replicate the same lighting feeling again lmao # art
An artist shared an old drawing with a lighting effect they have been unable to reproduce since, joking about how the skill seemed to vanish after one successful attempt. Other creatives often relate to this experience of accidentally producing strong work and then struggling to repeat it, as lighting in art can depend on small, hard-to-pin-down choices in colour and contrast.
Why now: Artists commonly relate to the frustration of accidentally creating something great and being unable to recreate it.
