Federal Employee Union Endorses Two More California Congressional Candidates
Original: Largest Federal Employee Union Endorses 2 Additional California Candidates for Election to Congress
The American Federation of Government Employees, the largest union representing US federal workers, has endorsed two additional candidates running for Congress in California. The endorsements add to the union's involvement in competitive House races, where federal workforce issues such as pay, job security and the role of public employees have become campaign talking points.
Why now: The AFL-CIO-affiliated AFGE's endorsements of California congressional candidates signal organised labour's growing stake in 2024-2026 House races amid heightened attention on federal workers' rights.
