Germany's far-right AfD and the far-left BSW party are preparing a joint motion in a regional parliament calling for an end to military support for Ukraine, an AfD spokesperson said on Wednesday. The rare cross-spectrum alliance between two populist parties is drawing attention because it unites the far right and far left against Kyiv and could shape debates on Germany's Ukraine policy ahead of national elections.
Why now: An unusual far-right/far-left alliance on Ukraine policy challenges Germany's political consensus on supporting Kyiv.
